We're in Phoenix this weekend visiting Rex's grandma and grandpa! This afternoon Rex gets to meet great-grandpa. Great-grandpa is 95. Hopefully we'll get to visit Ikea while we're here for some toddler bed textiles. And maybe visit a yarn shop too :)

Last Night of Maternity Leave
This is my last night of full-time maternity leave. I was lucky to have enough leave time saved up to take six full weeks off of work to spend with baby Rex. I'm so happy that I had this time to bond with him and spend time as a family. Today we went to Savers thrift store (probably my favorite place), Target to look for bottles, and the Empire Buffet. The Empire Buffet has awesome sushi and tonight was no exception :)

2012 Recap & 2013
2012 was an awesome year. D and I got married and then we had baby Rex :)
Wedding planning and then being pregnant meant that my new year's resolutions took the back seat.
Last year's resolutions were:
1. Couch to 5K
2. One picture every day
3. One blog post every week
4. Knit 12 sweaters in 12 months
5. Grow my small business, introduce new product lines, and set up my vendor's table at the farmer's market.
I ran up until I became pregnant and then switched to walking in the desert in the mornings with D and the dogs. I walked my whole pregnancy although not as frequently at the end. I started running again at the very end of December and it wasn't that hard to get back into it. I'm glad I walked so much while I was pregnant.
I took pictures on 269 of the 366 days in 2013. I'm on track for 2013 so far.
I definitely did not keep up with blogging at all. I'll try to blog more this year.
I knitted four sweaters in 2012. It would have been six but I didn't finish sewing the buttons on two sweaters until new year's day 2013. I learned a lot about knitting sweaters in 2012 so I'd like to design some patterns in 2013. But I'm not planning on knitting 13 sweaters this year.
I didn't grow my small business much in 2012 but I held steady. I bought a knitting machine from a friend and worked up a successful felted ipad case prototype. It's a product I'd like to introduce into my Etsy shop in the future. For now I'd like to make sure I continue to produce felted beverage cozies to keep my shop stocked with what has made it successful. I wasn't able to set up at the farmer's market while I was pregnant. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it with a baby either so that might have to wait until 2014.
So my only official resolution for 2013 is to take a picture every day. Mostly I just want to enjoy every day with D and baby Rex :)
